Heartstopper S3 Q&A weekend!
Hello everyone! I don't usually use this blog to answer questions, but I've been wanting to answer some of your questions about season 3 of Heartstopper, and I figure this is probably the best place for it!
It's nearly 2 months since the release of S3 and I'd love to go on a deep dive with you all. I always feel like I don't express myself very well in interviews, so I feel more comfortable getting to express myself in the written word here! You may have questions about characters, relationships, themes, production, music, animation, and more... I shall try my best to share some interesting behind-the-scenes trivia!!
Please keep your questions relevant to season 3 of Heartstopper - I probably won't answer them if they're about anything else!
The ask box will be open from now through this weekend, so you have about 2 and a half days to send your questions. I'll answer what I can, probably slowly over the next week or two! I won't get around to answering everyone's question though, I'm sorry in advance! You're welcome to share the answers on other social medias if you'd like to.
If you don't want to see Q&A answers and are simply here for the fan art, please block the tag 'heartstopper s3 q&a'.
*
Also, just to get a few FAQs out of the way:
Season 4: I don't have anything more to share about season 4 right now, I'm sorry! As I've said, we're working incredibly hard to make it happen, and there's nothing else I can say about that at the moment.
Bloopers: Are coming soon, but I don't know exactly when!
Deleted scenes: I'm not currently sure whether there will be deleted scene releases.
*
Thank you so much for your support for the show! I look forward to chatting with you about season 3 of Heartstopper!!

Invisible | Part 22
Bucky x reader AU
Word count: 4.7k
Warnings: SMUTTTTTTTTTT
A/N: Okay so look I don't normally write smut. I've never done it before this is as good as it's gonna get. I apologize in advance xoxoxoxox 🫶🏻💅
The door to the apartment slammed shut with a force that rattled the frame. Sam, who was lounging on the couch with a beer in hand, turned his head fast, eyebrows raised.
“Whoa, buddy, easy there. We’ve got neighbors,” Sam joked, trying to lighten the tension.
Steve stood by the door, his hands on his hips, chest heaving like he’d just run a marathon. He muttered, “Sorry,” before running a hand through his hair and stepping into the living room.
Sam sat up straighter, instantly on alert. “Okay… what happened? You look like you’ve just been through the wringer.”
Steve exhaled sharply, moving to the kitchen and grabbing a beer from the fridge. He twisted the cap off and leaned against the counter, taking a long sip before answering. “I ran into her.”
Sam blinked, caught off guard. “Her? You mean Y/N?”
Steve nodded, his jaw tightening. “Yeah.”
Sam frowned, setting his beer on the coffee table. “And?”
“And apparently Natasha asked her for space,” Steve said, his tone heavy with frustration.
Sam’s eyebrows shot up. “Nat? Why?”
Steve’s laugh was humorless as he pushed off the counter and paced the room. “Because of me.”
Sam leaned forward, now completely invested. “What do you mean because of you?”
Steve stopped pacing, raking a hand through his hair again. “Y/N told me that Natasha’s in love with me.”
Sam choked on his beer mid-sip, coughing violently as he tried to recover. “Im sorry, what?”
Steve’s expression was grim. “Apparently, Nat’s been in love with me for years.”
Sam blinked rapidly, trying to process. “I mean… I always noticed the looks, but I didn’t know it was like that.”
Steve froze, narrowing his eyes at Sam. “What looks?”
Sam raised his hands defensively. “The longing looks, man. Nat’s good at hiding her feelings, but every once in a while, when you’re looking at Y/N, Nat’s looking at you like…” He trailed off, shrugging. “Like she wishes you’d look at her that way.”
Steve’s lips pressed into a thin line as he grabbed a chair and sank into it, cracking open the beer. He took another sip before saying, “That’s not all.”
Sam’s eyebrows shot up again. “Oh, God, what else? I swear this shits gonna be the death of me.”
Steve stared at the table, his voice low. “I told her.. she shouldn’t be with Bucky. That she should be with me.”
This time, Sam didn’t just choke—he spit out his beer entirely, coughing and spluttering. “You said what?! Steven I—”
Steve ignored him, cutting him off, his words tumbling out in a flood. “I couldn’t hold it in, Sam. Seeing her with him, hearing about how they’re just together now like it was always meant to be—because apparently it is, but it’s just killing me. And I said it. I told her she should be with me.”
Sam stared at him, wide-eyed. “You’re insane,” he muttered.
Steve sighed deeply, rubbing his temples. “And then she said…” His voice wavered slightly. “She said we’re all leaving her. Nat, me, and apparently you.”
The room fell into a heavy silence. Sam shifted uncomfortably, his beer suddenly less appealing.
Steve’s sharp gaze locked onto him. “What did she mean by that, Sam?”
Sam hesitated, his fingers fidgeting with the beer bottle. “I was gonna talk to you tonight,” he admitted.
Steve’s brow furrowed. “Talk to me about what?”
Sam let out a breath, leaning back into the couch. “I got a promotion at work.”
Steve’s eyes lit up briefly with surprise. “That’s great, man. Holy shit, congratulations!”
Sam gave a small, bittersweet smile. “Thanks. But, uh… the thing is, it’s across the country, to Washington to be exact, I’ll be moving in two weeks.”
Steve’s face fell, and he let out a quiet, “Shit.”
Sam nodded, the weight of the confession heavy in the room. “Yeah. I didn’t want to drop this on you all at once, but I guess it’s as good a time as any.”
Steve stared at him for a moment before shaking his head. “I’m proud of you, Sam. Really. You deserve this. But damn…” He ran a hand through his hair again. “Looks like I’ll need to move.”
Sam chuckled softly. “Yeah, sorry about that. Maybe at the next farmers market Nat will buy you the rest of the farm ceramics you can move em into my room, start charging rent..”
Steve snorted, though the humor didn’t quite reach his eyes. The two of them sat in silence for a moment, the weight of their respective issues hanging in the air.
Finally, Sam broke the silence. “So… what are you gonna do about Natasha?”
Steve looked down at his beer, his expression conflicted. “I don’t know,” he admitted. “I’m not even sure I’m in the right headspace to do anything about it.”
Sam nodded slowly. “Fair enough. But you know she deserves better than waiting around for you to figure it out, right?”
Steve’s lips pressed into a thin line. “I know,” he said quietly.
“And what about Y/N? What are you gonna do about what you said to her?”
Steve sighed deeply, his shoulders slumping. “I don’t know. She probably told Bucky by now, and I’m sure he’s ready to kill me.”
Sam raised an eyebrow. “Yeah, you really stepped in it this time, man.”
Steve shot him a look. “Thanks for the support.”
Sam shrugged, a small smirk playing on his lips. “Hey, I’m just saying what we’re both thinking. You’re gonna have to figure this out, Steve. Because right now? It’s a mess.”
Steve let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head. “Tell me something I don’t know.”
They both sat there in silence again, the enormity of everything weighing heavily on them. Sam finally clapped Steve on the shoulder. “Look, no matter how much of a shitshow this is, it won't be like this forever man, its us, all of us.”
Steve gave him a small, grateful smile. “Thanks, man.”
“Don’t thank me yet,” Sam said, leaning back. “You’ve got some serious damage control to do first.”
As the weight of the conversation hung in the air, Sam leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. He let out a dramatic sigh, running a hand over his face before shooting Steve a mock-serious look.
“Y’know, I can’t leave in good conscience if all my children aren’t okay,” he said, gesturing broadly as if addressing a group.
Steve frowned, confused. “Your children?”
Sam smirked, leaning back and crossing his arms. “Yeah, my children. You, Y/N, Bucky, Nat, Wanda—this whole dysfunctional friend group minus Wanda actually, shes just a saint, hallelujah! But you’re all like my unruly little kids, and I need you to get your shit together before I move halfway across the country. Otherwise, I’m gonna feel guilty as hell.”
Steve snorted, but there was a faint glimmer of a smile at the corner of his lips. “We’re not your kids, Sam.”
“Oh, really?” Sam raised an eyebrow, sitting up straighter. “Who’s the one everyone comes crying to when things go south? Who’s the one playing mediator when y’all start tearing each other apart? Me. I’m the glue holding this chaos together, Rogers.”
Steve let out a soft laugh despite himself, shaking his head. “I didn’t realize we put you through so much, Dad.”
“Damn right,” Sam said with a mock scowl. “You’re lucky I’m so patient. Now, can we please work on fixing this mess before I have to catch a plane? I’ve got enough to worry about without you and Natasha staring at each other from across the room like you’re in a sad indie film.”
Steve sighed, leaning back into the couch and swirling his beer. “I’ll figure it out, Sam.”
Sam gave him a look. “You better. ‘Cause I’m not above locking you and everyone in a room together and waiting it out.”
Steve laughed quietly, shaking his head. “You’re relentless.”
“And you love me for it,” Sam quipped, standing up and clinking his beer against Steve’s. “Now, get your ass in gear, Rogers. Fix it with the fam. And maybe don’t confess your love to someone who’s already taken next time.”
Steve winced, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, message received.”
Sam smirked. “Good. Now, can we chill for the rest of the night? Or do I have to keep playing therapist?”
Steve chuckled, clinking his beer against Sam’s again. “No more therapy sessions tonight.”
Sam grinned. “That’s what I thought. Now pass me the pretzels.”
Natasha slammed the door behind her, the sharp sound echoing through the apartment. She tossed her bag onto the floor and leaned back against the doorframe, her hands gripping the strap of her jacket like a lifeline. Her jaw was tight, and her eyes were red, like she was holding back the last thread of control she had.
Wanda poked her head out from the kitchen, her wooden spoon mid-stir in a pot of something fragrant. Her brows furrowed at Natasha’s expression. “Woah, what happened? You look like you’ve just walked out of a war zone.”
Natasha let out a bitter laugh, kicking her shoes off aggressively and heading toward the couch. “Might as well have.”
“Okay, uh is this serious?” Wanda abandoned her cooking, setting the spoon down and following Natasha into the living room. She perched on the arm of the couch as Natasha sank into it, her hands immediately rubbing at her temples. “Spill.”
Natasha exhaled sharply, her voice biting. “I snapped at Y/N.”
Wanda blinked, tilting her head. “About what?”
“About Bucky. About Steve. About everything.” Natasha waved a hand, her frustration clear. “She came to me asking for advice on Bucky. Apparently, he lied to her about going out for drinks with Sam, and she just wanted to talk it through. But instead of helping her, I completely lost it.”
Wanda’s face softened with understanding. “What did you say?”
Natasha hesitated, guilt flickering across her face. “I told her she was overthinking it. Being dramatic like always. And then… I told her I needed space.”
Wanda’s mouth fell open slightly, but Natasha wasn’t done.
“And then,” Natasha continued, her voice tightening with self-loathing, “I told her I didn’t understand why Steve was in love with her and not… not me, told her she wasn’t anything special.”
“Oh my god, Natasha…,” Wanda murmured, her tone gentle but disappointed.
“I know, i know…” Natasha said quickly, her voice cracking. “I know how shitty it was. But I couldn’t stop myself. She’s so… happy right now. With Bucky, finally. And I’m standing here, watching her and then watching Steve fall apart while I’m—” She broke off, running her hands through her hair. “I’m stuck. Just stuck.”
Wanda leaned forward, trying to catch Natasha’s gaze. “You’re not stuck, Nat. You’re hurting. But you’ve got to stop projecting that onto her.”
Natasha scoffed bitterly. “She said all she wanted was advice. Advice on Bucky, of all people. And I couldn’t even give her that without making it about me.”
Wanda’s lips pressed into a thin line. “Because it is about you, Nat. Not her. You’re angry with Steve for not seeing you the way you want him to. You’re angry with yourself for not saying anything sooner. And yeah, maybe you’re a little angry that she’s happy with Bucky while you’re feeling invisible. But you can’t blame her for any of that.”
Natasha’s eyes filled with unshed tears. “I know, I know, but it feels so unfair, Wanda. Why am I always the one standing on the sidelines? Why does it always feel like I’m waiting for something that’s never going to happen?”
Wanda sighed, sliding off the armrest and sitting next to Natasha. She placed a comforting hand on her friend’s knee. “Nat, you’ve spent so much time watching from the sidelines that you’ve convinced yourself you belong there. But you don’t. You deserve to be in the center of someone’s world, just like she is to Bucky.”
“And what if that someone is Steve?” Natasha whispered, her voice trembling.
Wanda hesitated, her heart aching for her friend. “Then you need to figure out if it’s worth the risk. But Nat… if you want Steve to see you, you have to give him the chance. You can’t keep hiding how you feel.”
Natasha wiped at her eyes angrily. “What if it’s too late? What if he’s too far gone on Y/N?”
Wanda gave her a sad smile. “Steve’s not too far gone, but before anything can happen, he needs to work through his feelings for her. And you… you need to figure out what you really want.”
Natasha nodded slowly, her voice barely audible. “I just don’t want to lose her, Wanda. Or Steve. Or any of you.”
“You won’t,” Wanda assured her. “We’re too close for that. But you’ve got to be honest—with her, with Steve, and most importantly, with yourself.”
Natasha leaned back against the couch, letting out a shuddering breath. “I’ll talk to her. Just… not tonight.”
“Not tonight,” Wanda agreed. She stood, patting Natasha on the shoulder. “Come on, babe. I’ve got pasta in the kitchen. Food always helps.”
Natasha let out a weak laugh, nodding. “Yeah. Pasta sounds good.”
The cabin looked exactly as you remembered it, nestled in the woods with its rustic charm intact. The wooden exterior was weathered but sturdy, and the scent of pine trees and earth filled the crisp air.
Bucky had insisted on carrying your bags, his easy smile making it impossible to argue. Now, as he unlocked the door and pushed it open, you were flooded with memories of your childhood and the countless weekends spent here with the group.
"Home sweet home," Bucky said softly, stepping aside to let you in.
The inside was just as cozy as you remembered - worn furniture, a stone fireplace, and the faint scent of cedar lingering in the air. A fire was already crackling in the hearth, casting a warm, flickering glow across the room.
"You did all this?" you asked, turning to him.
Bucky shrugged, a boyish grin tugging at his lips.
"Figured it'd be nice to have it ready for you."
Your heart swelled as you dropped your coat onto the couch, taking in the space. It felt so intimate now, just the two of you surrounded by memories and the quiet of the woods.
"Bucky," you started, your voice soft, "this is perfect."
His eyes softened, and he reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind your ear. "You deserve perfect."
After getting all settled, which didnt take long thanks to Bucky already doing everything, the two of you sat by the fire, a bottle of wine on the table between you and an easy warmth filling the room. You couldn't stop smiling, leaning against Bucky's shoulder as you talked about everything and nothing.
"Remember the time Steve got stuck on the roof because Nat dared him to climb up there?" Bucky said, laughing as he rubbed small circles on your shoulder.
You giggled, the memory vivid. "And you were the one who had to help him down. He wouldn't stop screaming about how he was gonna die."
Bucky tilted his head back, laughing. "It was his own fault for taking the dare. Dumb ass."
The sound of his laughter filled the cabin, and you couldn't help but stare at him. His eyes crinkled at the corners, his head tilted slightly, and his hand stayed firmly on you, grounding you in the moment.
"Hey," Bucky said, noticing your gaze. "What's going on in that pretty head of yours?"
You bit your lip, a flush creeping up your cheeks.
"Just... how happy I am. I didn't think I would have something like this, especially with you it feels surreal."
Bucky's expression softened, his thumb brushing against your cheek. "You and me both, I'm scared I'm going to wake up one day and not have you like this... but loving you is the easiest thing I've ever done."
Before you could respond, he stood and walked to the fireplace, picking up a small leather-bound book from the mantel. He turned it over in his hands, his fingers tracing the edges as if gathering the courage to part with it.
“What’s that?” you asked, tilting your head, curiosity softening your voice.
Bucky’s gaze flicked to yours, hesitant but filled with something deeper—hope, love, fear. He walked back, sitting down beside you and holding the book out. “It’s for you.”
Your brow furrowed as you reached for it, your fingers brushing against the worn leather. It felt warm from his hands, and across the front, your name was scrawled in his familiar, messy handwriting.
“It’s… letters,” he began, his voice quiet, almost uncertain. “Letters, things, random thoughts or things i just wanted to say to you but never did because I was a coward.”
Your breath caught as you opened the book, the creak of the spine breaking the silence between you. The first page was dated years ago, the ink slightly faded but unmistakably his handwriting.
You began to read aloud:
“Y/N,
Today, I saw you laugh at something Steve said, and it hit me how much I love that sound. I know I'm only 17 but I’d do anything to hear it every day for the rest of my life.”
Your voice broke on the last word, your eyes already filling with tears. You looked up at him, stunned, but he just gave you a small, nervous smile.
You flipped to another random page.
“Y/N,
I wanted to tell you how beautiful you looked tonight, but the words caught in my throat. I wish I was braver, wish I could just say it, but what if it changes everything? What if I lose you? I can't lose you.”
Tears spilled freely now as you flipped through the pages, each one a snapshot of Bucky’s heart. The dates led all the way back to your teenage years, to the very beginning of your friendship.
“Bucky,” you whispered, your voice trembling as the weight of his words settled over you. “This is….”
He hesitated, his eyes searching yours. “Is it too much?” he asked softly, his vulnerability laid bare.
You shook your head, setting the book down gently before throwing your arms around his neck, burying your face in his shoulder. "No, its everything... its perfect. You're perfect."
His hands settled on your waist, holding you tightly as if afraid you might slip away.
"You've always been everything to me," he murmured against your hair, the words barely audible.
The air shifted, charged with emotion and years of longing finally laid bare. When you pulled back to look at him, his eyes met yours, and for a moment, the world fell away. Slowly, deliberately, you leaned in, and your lips met his.
The kiss was slow at first, tentative, as if testing the boundaries of this newfound vulnerability. But it quickly deepened, the years of pent-up emotion pouring out with every touch, every movement.
His hands slipped under your sweater, his calloused palms warm against your skin. The contact made you gasp, and he used the opportunity to pull you closer, his grip firm but careful, as though you were something precious.
"God, I love you," he murmured against your lips, his voice rough with need and emotion.
Your heart swelled, and vou whispered back, "I love you too."
His forehead rested against yours as his breathing mingled with yours. His eyes searched yours, filled with unspoken questions and promises. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice low, almost trembling.
"I've never been more sure of anything," you said, your voice steady despite the pounding of your heart.
He smiled then, a soft, genuine smile that made you fall all over again. He kissed you deeply, his hands traveling up your back with a reverence that made your entire body hum.
As he laid you back gently against the couch, his lips never leaving yours, the world outside ceased to exist. His touch was both careful and consuming, his hands exploring every inch of your skin as if committing you to memory. Each touch felt like a declaration, a promise.
"You're everything to me," he whispered, his lips brushing the curve of your jaw. "I want to give you the world."
"You already have," you breathed, your fingers tangling in his hair as he kissed his way down your neck.
When his fingertips trailed down the slope of your breast, a jolt of sensation arced through your body, making your breath catch in the back of your throat. Every nerve ending seemed to come alive at once, and your pulse quickened, pounding a wild rhythm that made your head spin. The featherlight touch sent shivers skittering up your spine, each one a thousand points of sensation that made every inch of you ache with hunger.
His mouth found the peak of one breast, his lips closing around it in a slow, languid kiss. You gasped at the wet heat of his tongue, at the way his lips pulled gently at the sensitive flesh. Your body arched into him instinctively, craving more, demanding it with a want so overwhelming that it eclipsed everything else.
“Bucky,” you gasped, his name tumbling from your lips like a plea. Your hands clutched at his hair, guiding him back up to your mouth where you could devour him in a kiss.
He moved with you, letting you pull him closer, urging you to take what you needed. When he rolled you onto your back, his body settling between your legs, you felt his hardness press against you. You wanted to feel him—his bare skin sliding against yours, the heat of him sinking into your core—but you also didn’t want to let go of the kiss, didn't want this moment of connection to be severed.
He seemed to read your mind because his lips never left yours as he guided your hands down his body. He let you unbutton his jeans, and the sound of his zipper coming undone sent another rush of heat through you. When your fingers found his length, a low groan tore from his throat, vibrating against your lips.
“I want you,” you whispered, the words almost lost in the wetness of the kiss.
His response was immediate—a low growl that bordered on a whimper. “Oh, God, I’ve been waiting so long for this, for you sweetheart” he muttered, his hand slipping between your legs. “You’re so wet for me.”
His words were like fuel to the fire, sparking a hunger so deep and primal within you that it hurt. You pushed against his touch, seeking friction, seeking anything that would give you the release you craved. He understood, his fingers stroking you with a careful precision that made your entire body clench.
You moaned, the word breathless with need. Your hips arched up, moving in tandem with his strokes. The pressure built, like something coiling within you, waiting to burst.
He gave you more, sliding a finger into you, then two, curling them deep as though searching for a sweet spot that would unravel you completely. You gasped when he found it, his gentle strokes hitting it over and over until you were trembling beneath him.
“Bucky, I—” The words died on your lips when he slid a third finger inside you. The sensation was almost overwhelming, his touch, his kiss, the need burning through you, all mixing together until it was impossible to focus on anything but him.
The world tilted, your body shuddering with a wave of sensation, and then you were flying, soaring above everything else as your release hit you like a tidal wave. Your head tipped back, mouth opening on a silent cry, the feeling almost too intense to bear. Every nerve ending in your body seemed to crackle with electricity, the pleasure like a thousand bolts of lightning exploding within you.
When you came back down from the high of your orgasm, Bucky was kissing your neck, his breath warm against your skin. He looked up at you, his blue eyes shining with a softness you’d never seen before, and the sight made your chest hurt.
“I love you,” he whispered, his voice low and rough with emotion. “Always. Forever.”
Your fingers threaded through his hair, pulling him into another kiss. “I love you too,” you murmured against his lips. “So much Buck”
He smiled at you, and there was so much affection and adoration in his eyes that it threatened to overwhelm you all over again.
You reached for him, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, holding him close as he settled between your thighs. He slid into you slowly, filling you, stretching you until you were full with the length of him. It wasn’t enough, though. You needed more—needed his breath to mingle with yours, needed his skin to be flush against yours.
When he pulled out, you whimpered in protest, but he just smiled down at you, a gentle smile that made your heart swell with emotion. He grasped your hips, pulling you into a sitting position as he settled onto his back. The movement brought him deeper within you, and the sensation was so overwhelming that you had to catch your breath.
“I want you on me,” Bucky whispered, his eyes holding yours as he lifted you, helping you find a rhythm that left you both breathless. “I want to see you.”
You started to move “Baby,” Bucky moaned, his eyes locked onto your body moving above him. “Oh, fuck.”
The words were guttural, filled with so much emotion that it threatened to overwhelm everything else. You could feel him throbbing within you, his length swelling, stretching you further than you thought possible. The feeling was almost too much to handle, yet at the same time, it wasn’t enough.
“Harder,” you gasped, your voice barely audible over your own heartbeat pounding in your ears. Your fingers found Bucky’s, linking with them as his hips began to move faster beneath yours. “Deeper. Please.”
He groaned at your words, the sound dark and edged with desperation. “I’m close,” he warned, but you could tell he wanted to wait, wanted to ensure you reached your orgasm first.
You leaned down, pressing your lips to his ear. “Come with me,” you urged, your words a soft whisper that turned into a moan when he hit your sweet spot again. The feeling was so intense you felt yourself begin to unravel, pleasure flooding you until it seemed to spill over.
“Yes,” Bucky muttered, the word a dark growl, his hips bucking up hard as his length thickened, pulsing with an imminent release. “Oh, fuck..”
Your body tensed at the same time as his, the pleasure cresting until it seemed impossible to hold back the orgasm any longer. It hit you like a wave, pulling you under with such force that you were powerless to do anything but let it consume you.
Bucky’s mouth found yours, muffling your cries of pleasure as he began to come. You could feel him throbbing within you, warm heat spilling into you, filling you until the sensation was almost too overwhelming to bear.
Time seemed to stretch and compress all at once, the only sound was your ragged breathing, and his quiet grunts of pleasure as his body emptied into yours. Your heart pounded against your ribcage, making your lungs feel tight with the sheer force of the feeling.
Finally, your high began to ebb, leaving you both breathless and boneless, bodies trembling as though the pleasure had taken every ounce of strength you possessed. Bucky’s arms found their way around you, holding you close as though trying to absorb you into himself. When you looked up, his eyes were gazing back at you, filled with an emotion that stole whatever breath you had left in your lungs.
“I love you,” you whispered, your voice a soft sound that seemed lost amidst the pounding of your heartbeat.
His smile was slow to form, but when it did, it lit up his whole face. His lips brushed over yours, the kiss warm and lingering. “Mine.”
“Yours.” You pressed one last kiss to his mouth, your lips lingering on the word.

Huh, Alright. Sorry it took this long, I had this WIP in the duster for months.
Last song: Augustus Gloop from the Tim Burton Charlie and the chocolate factory or however You Say it. But rn My brain is stuck with Ojalá by Silvio Rodríguez (Beloved childhood song)./Update Nov. 2024: Last songs now are Monster and Puppeteer from Epic: The musical with a full Stobotnik cinematic playing every time in My brain.
Fun fact: I used to Listen to music daily, but ever since we adopted a Kitten like a week algo I basically stopped all habits to tend and play with her. I don't mind that at all, I Will die and kill for that Kitten./Update: Habit came back to normal and I still would give my life for this cat.
Favorite color: Dark colors, mainly black and shit to combine with black like purples or idk. Oh-Anyone know about that typical red like color related to pompous, rich, victorian characters? That one, I love that one.
Last TV show/Currently watching?: No fucking clue. Uuuhhh, I watched Brother Bear by popular (Dood-) demand and didn't expect for it to be a fucking greek tragedy and be crying by the end of the movie, I loved it./Update: Do Silence of the Lambs reaction videos and Stobotnik compilations count?
Relationship status: Miserably lonely but I don't want to meet new people for that purpose so... Ig I'll stay in this pit a while.
And idk what I want to watch now, Maybe I'll look something up in Netflix or something.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: The fuck is Savory??? Salty?????
I have a routine, eat salty, then eat sweet, love both on their own but not mixed. Fucking hate Spicy shit, it ruins the food for me.
Nov. 2024 I've been Tagged by @demetera-kaziaik and I'm relieved I'm not a nuisance, an honor to interact with You, Stobotnik Messiah :D
Last book: Fuck, what was it...? I think it was an Etnography guide Made in the 2000s for a class. But I recommend War of the Worlds, My beloved (Has only read a student edition).
Last thing I googled: "ugly crying drawing meme" because that has been me in Stobotnik Twitter these last few days.
Current obsesión: Stobotnik (Dr. Robotnik x Agent Stone from the Sonic movies), Abusive Gerald headcanon and Devildice (The Devil x King Dice from Cuphead) and King Dice himself because I will nom him.
Looking forward to: Watch the Sonic 3 Stobotnik scenes and die from it when they make it no-homo. And for the class year to end and uh-.... Idk, speak to Friends.
I remember hey_imma_fangirl also Tagged me in one of these... Maybe I'll get the motivation to get to it.
@calmao666 @boo-topia @doodzoodz I summon the besties @groovy-rat-man @aka-baka-shiki
9 people you would like to get to know better tag meme
except I'm starting a new post because the one I got tagged in was long as shit. I was tagged by @tacofuus, thanks so much!
Last song: Batter Up by Babymonster. It's a solid 6.5/10 check out
Favorite color: violet/lavender. Really any shade of purple
Last tv show/currently watching: I honestly don't really watch TV. I genuinely cannot remember. The last series I actually watched was Death Note with my best friend and that was last year/beginning of this year. I used to be into anime when I was in middle school and this felt like a return to my roots lmao
Sweet/spicy/savoury: I go with savory most of the time, but my favorite is sweet for sure.
Relationship status: narilamb
Current obsession: Writing fanfic for cult of the lamb. It's been just about a year and a half now and I don't see this dying down anytime soon, cotl has squarely entered full special interest status for me so I'll be here for at least another 3 years. I have a bad habit of making a new fandom blog every time I get a shorter-term hyperfixation, writing for it, getting kindasorta recognized in the fandom, then abandoning my works and deleting the blog when I'm not interested in it anymore. Maybe some of y'all followed me in my previous fandoms and y'all would probably never know bc of orphaned works that I can't find anymore. ...anyway. I've made too many close friends in this fandom to pull that stunt again. the-one-who-lambs and my cotl fics are here to stay. I'm rambling
Last thing you googled: 600 cc in cups (I was making soup but all the good noodle packets from China+Korea give units in cubic centimeters. It's about 2.5 cups btw)
Uhhhhh I don't know who to tag so I'll just pick the most recent 9 mutuals in my notes who haven't been tagged already by taco or the people they tagged lol. taking requests, angel? if so...
I saw some Kathryn gifs and an idea came to me: Agatha, after a long and exhausted working week, asks female reader to have a date, but the date is on their house because Agatha is too tired to go out. Reader is happy, tho, because her love language is quality time and physical contact. Something like a dinner, maybe, idk... so they end up having a very lovely time together, cuddling on the sofa until they fall asleep. Smut or not in the end, it's up to you... but I'd love to read something cute from you:( I don't know if that's okay...
if you're not taking requests, I totally understand that! I don't want to bother you.
- 🌙
Fun fact, this is my first time writing something that's not meant to build up to sexy times! Also the fluffiest thing I've ever written so hopefully it's good!
Home is where the heart is
A change of plans in your date night with Agatha leads to a confession.
Word count: 1200
Warnings: fluff, softness
Still on for dinner and a movie tonight?
It’s the text you sent your girlfriend, Agatha, an hour ago and she still hasn’t responded. This usually isn’t like her, but you know how busy work can get. And you know how tough the last week had been on her, but you were really looking forward to spending this Friday night with her.
The two of you had been dating for three months now and it always seemed like the older woman wanted to do something, whether it be going to a nice restaurant or mini-golfing or painting pottery. Like tonight, Agatha is supposed to take you to the newest spot in town that just opened up and then you were going to see Corpse Bride as it was playing again in theaters.
You would never complain about any of this, but you’re a little worried that Agatha thinks that you need all of this to hang out with her.
A text from Agatha buzzes finally. Doll, I’m so sorry. You frown and pick your phone up, afraid she’s going to cancel. I’m so exhausted from work, how would you feel just coming over tonight for something chill? I can order pizza.
You breathe a sigh of relief and type back. I would love that! See you later. You almost finish the text with a ‘Love you’ but neither of you had said it yet and you were sure as hell not going to say it over the phone for the first time.
You also weren’t sure how Agatha felt. She was older and you weren’t exactly sure what she saw in you. She was beautiful and confident and wealthy and could have anyone she wanted, and yet she chose you.
A part of you deep down is perturbed that this is just a fling for her. It would crush you if that’s what it was.
But you bury that insecurity somewhere dark inside you and you get ready for date night.
Since you’re not doing anything special, you opt for a comfy purple sweater and black leggings. You do put on lacy underwear just in case Agatha’s in the mood, but you are totally content if not.
You just want to spend time with your girlfriend.
You get to her house right at six, which was when you were supposed to meet anyway, and you only have to wait a second after ringing the doorbell for Agatha to appear.
“Hey, baby,” she says, stepping to the side so you can enter. She’s wearing sweatpants and a tank top, hair loose, but she’s never looked more beautiful. You press a cheek to her kiss and she hums happily and follows you into the kitchen. “Sorry to cancel our plans at the last minute, I’m just so tired.”
“No worries at all,” you reassure her, opening the pizza box that’s already on the counter. It’s your favorite kind and you put two pieces on a plate and grab a beer. She does the same and leads you over to the couch where you sit on opposite sides facing each other. “Everything okay?” You ask once you’re both settled.
She sighs dramatically and her head flops back against the couch. You laugh and nudge her with your foot.
Agatha looks back at you, mirth sparkling in her eyes. “It was just a rough week, hon. Lots of people bothering me, asking stupid questions they should know the answers to, following up on emails that they haven’t responded to. And I had to work late those couple nights.”
You frown. “I’m sorry. You work so hard and no one seems to give you the credit you deserve.” You take a bite of your pizza and chew it thoughtfully, wondering what else you can say. You know she’s been really busy and you’ve hardly seen her at all this week.
But she leans forward and pats your thigh. “But this has certainly helped.”
You raise an eyebrow. “The pizza and beer?” You ask innocently, fishing for more. She rolls her eyes fondly, knowing how much validation you like.
“And the company, hon. You’re pretty great, you know?”
You smile and squirm with contentment. “You are too, Aggie. I’m always happy to just sit on your couch and talk. I just want to spend time with you, no matter what we’re doing.”
She smiles gratefully. “Me too, baby. Now, how has your week been?” You launch into an animated retelling of something that happened at work and she hangs onto every word. It takes you a bit longer to tell the story in-between bites of your pizza, but her attention never wavers.
It makes you feel so warm inside how Agatha always pays attention to what you’re saying. She makes you feel so seen and you couldn’t be more lucky to have her.
Once you’re done talking and with the pizza, she puts on an episode of Modern Family, your comfort show. You lay between her legs, your back to her front, while she gently strokes your hair. You trace lazy circles on her thighs through her sweatpants and it’s absolutely perfect.
She tilts your head to the side and angles hers so she’s able to kiss you softly. It’s just a press of her lips against yours at first, but it slowly becomes more and your mouth parts for her tongue.
It’s not a needy kiss though, not a kiss meant to lead to something more, it’s a kiss full of adoration and longing and intimacy.
“You’re so perfect, baby,” Agatha murmurs against your lips.
“Not as perfect as you,” you say back and you can feel her smile against your skin.
She lets you go back to the show and wraps her arms around you. You can feel her deep breathing and you feel so safe and warm that you start to doze off.
Right before sleep takes you though, you feel her nuzzle your temple and whisper into your ear: “I love you, baby.”
Your heart leaps and you suddenly feel more awake than ever. You whirl around so fast that you almost fall off the couch. Agatha’s eyes are wide and you think you see fear in them.
“Did you just–” You start.
At the same time, Agatha says, “I’m so sorry–”
You both cut off at the same time. You smile wider than you ever have before and you move so you’re straddling her lap. You put your arms around her neck and rest your forehead against hers.
“Agatha Harkness,” you say. Her eyebrows raise. “I love you, too.”
She closes the distance between you and kisses you again, this time with more passion. You whine and try to pull her as close as you can, needing to feel her body against yours as much as you can.
“Say it again,” she says and you smirk.
“I-” You kiss her. “Love.” Another kiss. “You.” She grins and gives you a long kiss and it eventually sizzles out and the two of you are just holding each other, your chin on top of her shoulder.
“I’m so glad I cancelled our other date,” Agatha muses and you chuckle, squeezing her tighter. “Stay here with me forever, love?”
You promise that you will.
And when you both wake up in the morning in that same position, she tells you that she loves you again.
You hope she never stops saying it, because you know that you never will.

would you do single dad eddie munson x reader and eddie is a little older than reader and eddie’s look for a baby sitter to look after his baby and reader is the baby sitter and at the end eddie and the reader end up togetherr? thank you 💗💗
When you saw the ad in the paper, you didn't really think anything of it as you just needed a job, but the second your eyes laid on Eddie, you knew you were done for. He was wearing his signature leather jacket, his hair was just the right amount of messy, and he had those beautiful brown eyes that you swore you could fall into.
"Hey," he greeted with a smile. "Come on in," he opened the door wide for you and you stepped inside, trying your best not to stare at him any longer.
"Nice to see you again," he said and nodded his head towards the living room where his daughter was lying in her portable crib. He picked her up and when you caught a glimpse of her face, you could definitely seen the resemblance between her and Eddie.
"you know Evie," he said, and the way he looked at her, you could tell just how much he loved her.
"Hi, Evie," you gave her a little wave and were so distracted by how much they looked alike even though you had already saw the resemblance when you met them for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Her eyes were just as brown as his were with a little glint in them and her smile mimicked his perfectly. You wondered how much she would look like him when she grew up.
“Do you want to hold her?" He asked, slowly handing her over to you and you hesitantly reach up to take her, noticing that she's reaching for you.
"S-sure," you nod and take her into your arms, noticing how quick she is to rest her head on your shoulder. Eddie stares at the two of you with a smirk and you feel your cheeks heat.
"She really likes you," he says knowingly. "I've cycled through so many sitters since I got custody of her and I don't think I've ever seen her take to any of them like she has to you."
"Really?" You ask, trying your best to look at her out of the corner of your eye.
"Yeah, you guys look real cozy," he nods then leans forward to kiss Evie's head. "Have a good night."
"You too."
With that, Eddie fled the house and you were left alone with Evie. You put her back in the crib so she could sleep then headed into the kitchen where Eddie had left a pizza for you. You happily help yourself, grabbing a plate from where you remembered seeing them when he had given you a tour when he had invited you over the first time. You then went back into the living room and turned on the TV and watched it while you waited for Eddie to get home. All in all, it wasn't a bad night.
You had been watching Evie every single week for a few months and over time, you and Eddie had been getting closer and closer. You could tell he was into you, but weren't sure how to go about it. He was technically your boss and you were scared that things were going to change between the two of you for the worse and you really didn't want to lose Eddie or your job.
You decided one night while he was out that you were going to take the chance and tell him how you felt. If he wasn't into it, you would back off and apologize for reading too much into your relationship and because you just couldn't work for him after being rejected like that, you'd have to quit and you really didn't want to.
Eddie walked through the door and you felt your heart race in your chest as you put Evie into her crib for the night then hurried out into the living room where you got there just in time to see Eddie collapse onto the couch with a sigh.
You took a deep breath and sat next to him, your heart now pounding and you were afraid that he could hear it. He turned to you, the TV glowing on the side of his face that was closest to it. He just looked so...pretty. And it was devastating.
"What are you thinking about?"
He knew you well and now that you were close, it was getting harder to hide things from him. So you supposed it was time to just come out with it.
"I need to tell you something."
"Shoot." He was fully facing you and you were even more nervous.
"I like you," you blurted and his eyes widened, but you weren't sure whether it's because of how loud your voice was or because of your words. But then he grinned and it was the most beautiful thing you'd ever seen.
"I like you too," he replied with a nod, his hair moving as he did so.
"Maybe I should repeat myself," you said. "I like you."
"And I like you too," he replied, using the same tone. "Will this convince you that I understand?" He asked as his hand moved to rest on your knee as he scooted closer so that your thighs were touching.
All you can do is nod and you notice that he's leaning closer to you and you can't help but do the same. His other hand rested on your cheek and his lips touch yours. Slowly at first, but then you were both so into it, trying to get as close to each other as you possibly could with the way you were sitting.
And just as soon as his tongue swiped across your bottom lip, Evie begins to cry and Eddie was quick to tend to her but not before pressing his lips to yours again before hurrying down the hall to take care of his daughter.
As you waited for him to get back, you sat there, chewing on your bottom lip, noticing that it tasted whatever lip balm Eddie had been wearing. And when he comes back into the living room with the baby sleeping with her hear head on his shoulder and sits next to you, you decide there's no other place you'd rather be than there.

After Logan was given a piece of the girls clothing, he gave a funny look to the officer.
"... did she own rabbits?"
"Awww bunnys!!" Wade coes, interrupting the conversation. He couldn't smell the scent, but he could tell just from the shirt alone that there was animal hair on it. White, slightly dark tipped.
The officer gave a scrunched up look. "About that... she IS a rabbit.."
"What?" Logan growls, about to rip this man a new one when a woman came to him with big watery eyes. "She's not a rabbit! She's a shifter! S-she just got her powers a couple of weeks ago a-and now my baby girl is lost in these woods!"
"So is she a rabbit or not? Because she sure as fuck smells like one."
"Dang Logan, She lost her daughter, it's not her fault." Wade whispers to him, knowing how frustrated he must be but he didn't want him snapping at the poor woman, whos shirt was already soaked (and starting to freeze) from tears, her hair was a mess, the bags under her eyes suggested that she hasn't rested since she's found out her child was missing, and her skirt was hand stitched, patched in some spots.
"Sir, I'm going to need you to calm down." The officer said.
"Don't tell him to calm down! There's a child missing, and so far, you've done jack shit!!" Wade pipes up, stepping forward and pointing a finger at his nose, actually touching it, only for his hand to be slapped away.
"We've tried tracking her down but..." he starts as the mother sobs into her apron.
"Buuuuttt??" The bald man in 2 different hats questioned, not ready to freeze his ass off for this, but he would want someone to do this if his daughter was missing.
Oh.. those were the days. Logan and him arguing over parenting choices, having dinner together, sleeping soundly at night knowing their family was happy and healthy. But now they were empty nesters.
Heh. That must have been the best 20 years of Wade's life. The only good thing about this is that his daughter having his genetics, so she could stay 16 forever if she really wanted too. Each time she died she regenerated back into that mouthy little girl, though it was odd to watch a 25 year old woman turn into a 16 year old again, especially when remembering that she's 21+ by now.
'No way, young lady, you can't drink your underage!!'
'Dad, i'm 25...'
Man... they grew up so fast.. And they were so proud of all of them. Even the adopted ones along the way like that little rascal Leo who apprently was doing quite well for himself now that he was all grown up. Poor guy ended up having a hairy back and a mane so large that it almost mirrored Sabertooths... so much for being a 'late bloomer'
The sweet thoughts go away when the man gestures to three dead rabbits next to them on the side of the road. "The dogs keep going after our suspects.."
"Woah, Hold on a second. You're having a problem with your highly trained shepherd dog's prey drive so you got THE WOLVERINE?? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard and I once googled if I could put a fork in my toaster because half my toaster strudel fell out instead of just unplugging it!" He shouts, arms going up. "Who's in charge of this operation!?"
"You didn't find that out before agreeing to come!?" Logan growls at him only for Wade to roll his eyes. "Oh, calm your knot, Jacob. I didn't know our helpless little girl was actually a single rabbit lost in a forest wonderland!"
Logans brows furrow with that 'Who the fuck is Jacob?' Look, his face showing more confusion then anger now.
"Alright. So here's what we're gonna do." Wade starts.
"Yeah, No. You already ruined your chances at this, it's my turn. You litsen to me, now!" He says, making Wade's hands go up. "Ooh~ Yes sir."
"Shut up!"
"Ok-"
"I'm taking this. I need a coms, give me a couple of hours and a med kit. The kid might be injured, so I might have to fix'em up before carrying them back here. They'll be weak, so maybe some food too. What does she like? Actually, never mind, get me the file." Grabbing the clothing, he decided it would be better to
"OOh fuck- I'm so wet right now." Wade mutters under his breath, getting a 'what the fuck' glance from the officer.
____
By the time Logan collected all that he needed to leave, Wade (of course) was strapped.
"I told you not to bring those. If anything, the gun powder will scare her, and she'll run off." Logan muttered.
"You never know when you'll need to shoot something, Loagie. Besides, I have flares too. And the snacks." He says, opening the bag as they walked, rummaging through it. "Why is there so much deer jerky in here?"
"I like deer jerky." He grumbles, slightly annoyed as the air was pricking his nose.
"I know that but is that the only thing they packed?? Aren't rabbits herbivores?" He says, still looking with a frown. Maybe he should have taken Ro up on that soup...
Not to mention, while he had one idiot in his ear, he had another in the other one.
'Logan, you should be coming up to where-'
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I can smell it." Glancing over, he saw that the puddle of blood from the other rabbit half way already covered with a new layer of pure white.
Squinting, he breathed slowly and smelled deep.
"There's a storm coming.." he says over the mic.
'We know, that's why this is so important.'
"Wait a second, you sent kurt out here KNOWING there was a storm rolling in!? And then you dragged me out here knowing damn well I've never stepped foot in these woods!?"
'He volunteered, and we called you first. You just refused to pick up. And yes you have, you have a cabin somewhere out here.'
"No I don't!"
'Other Logan did.' Scott mutters.
"How many times to I have to fucking tell you that I don't have his memories!? You sent me into unknow-"
His nose twitches, stopping as he got a whiff.
"Oh, he's got something. Whatcha smell boy? Show me!" Wade coes, giggling a bit as he pats his knees, causing Logan to growl, blushing, embarrassed at the puppy talk.
Walking off, he changes direction, leaving the premade path of boot tracks and paw prints.
'What are you doing? Stay on the path!... Logan? Logan! Now is not the time to go all lone wolf! Loga-'
The Wolverine gives a snarl of annoyance, trying to both pinpoint and smell with the nagging in his ear. Taking the head set off and turned, dropping it in Wade's hands, who made a 'Oooh!' Sound, putting it on instead with a big smirk.
"Hiya! You're on air with us at red and yellow radio station! What's your question caller?"
'What? Wade! Give it back to Logan! If he goes off track, we won't be able to-'
"Aht, i'm gonna have to cut you off, caller, This is our mission, our gig. Don't worry, I won't lose the big guy. Right now, he's looking at a tree. And now hes sniffing. Oh now he's glaring at me, and now hes-"
"Wade!! Hush!"
"Sorry caller, gotta go-"
'Wade? Deadpool? Wade!! Don't you dare go rouge! Wade!!!'
Thinking about old Worst Wolverine being called by each of the X men individually after they have a falling out because Logan injured a child very badly to the point the only reason they didn't die is because another classmates healing abilities all while he just... walked away.
Well- ran.. away... leaving a child to die. He's tried to explain thousands of times that he blacked out, that he didn't remember doing any of this. He tries to say that maybe it was someone else, that mystique did this shit all the time in his universe.
"Yeah, well!? This isn't your universe! Because the REAL Logan would never do this.." Scott screams at him as Logan leaves the Mansion for the last time. He doesn't come back. He didn't even get to tell his Xkits goodbye. It got to the point where Laura dropped out, taking Gabby with her, wanting nothing to do with the school anymore.
So now, here he is. In Maine, an old fisherman, part-time hunter, and the only people he lets around him have healing factors.
He lives with Wade, who still- by the way- doesn't have any grey hairs (maybe because hes bald but- yk)
One night, while Logan is out, making himself feel useful by feeding the small town they're in, providing for more poor families, feeding their children's hungry mouths and asking nothing in return but respect. (It gets to the point that the children cheer when they see Logan, wanting to hug him, but he growls at them to get off, too afraid of hurting them) Wade finally awnsers the ringing phone.
"What." There's vemon in his tone, but soon his eyes widden, and he frowns.
Walking outside he stands there a moment, knowing Logan can hear him.
He ignores him, looking at the fish, litsening, his breathing slowing as he skewers some with his claws. Its not exactly spear fishing but- close.
"What?" His voice is almost annoyed, as if knowing what his long time Husband was about to ask him.
"Logan.."
"No."
"Logan-"
He shakes his head. "Don't care."
"...She's missing."
He pauses, turning after scraping the dead fish into a bucket. "Who's missing?"
"There's a little girl missing."
"So?"
"Logan!"
"I'm not helping them, Wade. That's final." He growls.
For a moment, Wade frowns, but he didn't learn to obey thy husband like the bible said.
He never did.
"Logan, there's a 6 year old out there. All alone. Cold. Probably going to be eaten by wolves!" He shouts from the back porch, knowing his place enough to stay here and not come near his fish. Even after all these years, Logan was still finicky over his food. "And all because some old fart won't help her!"
The silence thickened as Logan thought about it, the hero side of his brain yelling 'We'll find her!' And the hurt old part of him saying 'That's not my buisness.'
".. You find her then." He compromises.
"I can't! And if anyone knows those Canadian woods, it's you! You said you knew those forests like the back of your hand!" Wade protests. "If I could smell someone through miles of freezing snow, I would. But I can't. So here I am, asking The Wolverine to go do what he does best."
He grunts, glaring. "And that is?"
"Helping a little girl get back to her mommy..." Wade says, knowing that he was sold. He knew he was sold the moment he told him to do it himself. "She doesn't have much time, Logan." He sighs, putting a cherry on top.
The greyed man huffed, grumbling under his breath for a moment. "Who will stay here with the dog?"
"Gabby can! She loves gabs." Gott'em.
"What about Laura? Why can't she find her?"
Shit.
"Logan, Laura has barley been in those woods. You've lived in them for years. So. What will it be. Pull up your panties and go save a little girls life? Or do it anyway when our baby girl gets lost too?"
Logan scoffs, disappointed. "..She wouldn't get lost.."
"She would if the scent kept being blown away.."
Wade adds, seeing the 'god damn it, he's right.' look on the old mans brow.
He lets out a large sigh. "...I don't want any help."
"Oh well too fucking bad bucko, I'm gonna go pack my snow suit!"
"No! I mean... I don’t want any help from THEM.."
"No promises. I'm not letting poor Susie die just because you have a grudge. Now put your fish in the freezer and lets go! They're coming to pick us up-"
"I ain't flying!!" Logan snarls, watching as his lover ran off, having a deep feeling that he would be in the air shortly..

Angsty Continuation of this Crack Szeth/Kaladin Time Travel AU:
"Sir, may I speak with you? It's a matter of some importance."
Dalinar looked up sharply, locking eyes with his Captain of the Guard.
Some of the clerks he had been meeting with had bristled, affronted as ever by what many saw as the unreasonably jumped up dark eyes. His intrusion into the room with barely a knock probably hadn't helped their opinion.
Dalinar ignored them for the moment, choosing instead to maintain eye contact. A chill ran down his spine.
Stormfather. When had the Captain started looking so…worn out? The man's gaze had always been strikingly intense, tired shadows kept at bay by a fiery rage. But now… Dalinar had perhaps seen that expression before, in a dying Chasmfiend. Embers of an unfathomably immense blaze, finally burning itself out. The heat it gave off still enough to scorch a man, but dying nevertheless.
He felt a twinge of guilt. Surely… he hadn't done that? Almight knows he asked a lot of the young man, too much perhaps. But storms… no, something must have happened. He had just seen the man, what, yesterday? Perhaps it had been a week since they had spoken more than in passing, but still. A week of overwork didn't burn through a person like that.
The Highprince cleared his throat. "I assume this has something to do with security?"
Captain Kaladin nodded firmly.
"Very well. Zaninel, Sherath, you're dismissed."
They left without a word, and barely a glare. Perhaps they had also caught something in the Captain's expression.
Kaladin closed the door behind him as he entered. He proceeded to the table, then all but collapsed into the chair across from the Highprince.
Dalinar raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything.
The darkeyed man rubbed a hand across his forehead, palm seeming to linger across the brands there. He started, sitting up.
"Sorry sir," he said hoarsely. "I forgot myself."
He pushed his weight forward as if to stand, but Dalinar waved him back.
"Its alright," he said. "I'm not one to make a soldier stand when hes clearly on his last chip."
The Captain sagged back.
"I apologize for the breach in decorum, I… last night…" He sighed, squaring his shoulder's and seeming to steel himself. "Well, sir, there's been vital matters I've been debating how to best present to your attention, but now one aspect has come to a head. Bridge four had… a visitor to our fire last night, scared the light out of my men. I've been trying to figure out what to do with him all night."
"A visitor?" Dalinar frowned. "This man is a security concern?"
Kaladin barked a humorless laugh. "It would be fair to say that, yes."
Dalinar waited for more of an explanation.
Kaladin sighed heavily. "I'd like to make a request sir."
"A request."
"That you not immediately put this man to death."
"Not…immediately?" Dalinar felt like an idiotic river spren, only able to mimic words/ But for the life of him, he had no idea where this conversation was going.
The captain nodded, drumming his fingers on the table. "I think he's of more value alive than dead, sir. And… I swore to try and help him regain some measure of his sanity. I can't do that if you kill him on sight."
"Kelek's Breath!" Dalinar said with some disbelief. "This madman if yours, he's truly so alarming, that you think I would do such a thing?"
Kaladin nodded, and Dalinar felt dread pool in his stomach.
"Who is this man?" he whispered.
"His name is Szeth."
"Szeth."
"Yes sir."
"That sounds like a Shin name."
"It is sir."
Dalanir stared down at the Captain, uncertain at what point he had stood up.
"Captain Stormblessed," he said with calm he didnt feel. "I can think of only one Shin man that I would desire to kill on sight."
Kaladin winced, then looked up locking those exhausted, burning eyes with his. "Yes."
"The assassin in white is here." Dalinar stated flatly.
"Yes."
The Highprince took a deep breath to steady himself. "The assassin who killed my brother?"
"Yes."
"The assassin who has been killing world leaders, throwing kingdoms into chaos."
"Yes."
Dalinar grabbed the lapels of Kaladin's jacket, towing him up with an enraged growl. He breathed heavily for a moment , attempting to restrain himself as he stared at that tired, dark expression.
"I trusted you," he hissed. "I trusted you with everything I had, everyone I loved, and you've been working with the Assassin in White."
Storms, did he feel tears in his eyes? Surely this betrayal couldn't hurt worse than Sadeas, but the dagger sharp pain in his sternum said otherwise. Had it all been a ruse? The tower, the retreat, Oathbringer…all one large, intricate lie to trick an old fool?
"No." The captain said firmly, meeting his unsaid questions with a steady, inarguable honesty.
"No, your maj — Sir. No, I have not been working with him. No, I had nothing to do with your brothers death — I was a child at the time, and Szeth and I hadn't even met. When we did first meet, I fought him. Then we fought again. I thought I killed him. I… I actually did kill him, from what i understand."
Kaladin Stormblessed's expression went very far away, but his words continued with that discordant lighteyed crispness he had had from that start.
"He was brought back by… a higher power. I'll explain what I can, but honestly, there's a lot a don't understand. He still very disturbed, but he is trying. He's taking another step along the journey, each day. Szeth is only a danger to himself now."
Stormblessed paused, then looked pained anew.
"Well…mostly. He's prepared to serve you, including as a killer. And…he's indicated that he's similarly willing to listen to my commands. He trusts me, sir. It…I realize this puts you in an uncomfortable position."
Dalinar felt his fingers unclench, and he lowered Stormblessed gently to his seat. There was no question in his mind if he could accept the Captain's word on this, he knew as instinctively as ever that this mans could be trusted.
Knew it more now than ever, seeing in those eyes a man who would rather break himself than break his oaths.
The pain of betrayal ebbed away, leaving a mess of emotions and thoughts in their wake.
Dalinar sat back heavily, rattling the maps and folios on the table.
"Storms!" He scrubbed a hand across his face. "You realize how mad this is, right?"
Kaladin laughed humorlessly. "Very much so."
"I —" Dalinar didn't know where to begin. "Where is he right now?"
"My office — my quarters in the Bridge Four Barrack."
"And he's under guard?"
"I have the Lopen and Rock switching off with him, but like I said, hes rather not a threat to anyone right."
"The Lop— wait, isn't Rock your cook's name?"
"Yessir. And you’ve probably seen Lopen before, he's hard to miss —small, loud, Herdassian."
"The one with one arm? You have a cook and a one armed man guarding the most dangerous man alive? Guarding a known shardbarer?" Dalinar found himself standing again, voice close to a shout. He forced himself back down.
Kaladin smiled weakly for some reason. "He gave me his shardblade, actually. As part of his surrender."
Dalinar glanced at Kaladin's hands, as if to find a shardblade he hadn't noticed.
The Captain opened his mouth, but Dalinar raised a hand. "…I'm not going to enjoy your answer on the location of that either, am I."
"Probably not, no."

At Your Immediate Discretion
Rating: Mature
General Acacius x Reader
Word Count: 700
You meet General Acacius under the cover of night, revealing what you've been hiding from him.
"I have something weighing on my spirit. It seems that it needs your attention."
"What is it?"
"Over the last several weeks, I've realized…there are developments that have made their presence known to me."
"Developments? What is it you speak of?"
"Sir, my apologies. There is something horrible happening inside of me."
He laughs. "Horrible?"
"Yes, wicked and vile and ugly and…"
His face grows serious.
"Gods. We must get the doctors in at once. Fetch Brenan, he will see you to them."
"No! Sir, it’s more than what doctors’ minds alleviate."
The general, still confused, sits on a stone protruding from the ground.
"The feelings I have…the thoughts in my mind…you would think I’m growing mad. The worst kind, brought on in massive quantity by your presence. Forgive me. I cannot wash myself clean enough. I have tried. Gods, I fear the worst."
"My…"
He takes your wrists in one massive hand, holding them in a firm but grounding embrace.
"You are not…unclean, as you have said. You, of all, have the least to feel shame for. Who told you this was necessary to believe?"
"But never in my life have I felt so indecent, so exposed. It’s unnatural for a young woman of high nobility to entertain, allow, such deviancy. I throw shame upon myself. Forgive me. Depravity echoes through my soul."
"It’s very natural. Very mortal to feel…such a way."
She looks up.
"It is?"
"It is."
"I say again, General. I have horrible, deeply troubling thoughts. Every day. Every night."
"Every night?"
"When you pace by in the corridors. I sense you from gait alone. Across the gardens in the mornings. In the cathedral. Every fiber of my being attunes to yours. I’ve been alone most of my life. I’ve never had anyone teach me the ways in… what I can only describe as carnal desire. The sins of the flesh. Cartha and Tom run through the streets in the night, scheming for conquests. Their company has surely infected my nature. I have plagued you, too. I must…"
"Please look at me."
You can’t.
"There is something horrible happening inside of me..."
"There is nothing horrible happening."
"And it hurts."
"You don’t have to hurt, my stars. Where does it hurt? Tell me."
"Here."
"Here?"
"Yes."
"And you say I am the cause of your impure thoughts."
"Dear gods, how to control it? This fire within, wreaking havoc and destruction where I turn. Please."
"Would you like me to show you…?"
His hand was warm as he spread his touch across your waist.
"Please, let me touch you."
"Oh, my gods."
You lean forward, arms winding around his neck, bringing your foreheads together.
"He holds onto you by your waist."
"Hey. Shhh, it’s okay. You make the sweetest sounds. Are they for me?"
You nod.
"Answer."
"Yes," you breathe.
"I’m going to take care of it, okay?"
You nod.
This is the first time you have ever felt anything like this. Your face contorts at the faintest hint of pleasure.
He slowly pulls her body closer until it’s pressed flush to his own.
"Does it feel good?"
"Yes, yes, it feels so good."
"You’re so sensitive…"
"So sensitive…," you repeat.
"So needy…"
You stop rocking her hips. Looking down at him,
"Is that a bad thing?"
"No, no. Come here. So good for me…"
"…you…"
"Turn around."
You obey, and he kisses your neck as you stretch the skin. You feel your head tilt up, up, towards the heavens. His laving attention increases as your impatience towards relief grows, drawing a slight whine from your core. He grunts, a heavy sigh upon your open back. Another kiss presses to the nape of your neck. Your breathing turns to pants, mouth open, gaping at the worlds above.

The List
Tommy Shelby & Ada Shelby
A/N: Ada visits Tommy to discuss the list he's given her, requested by @look-at-the-soul. Part of my Corrupt a Wish challenge.
Warnings: drinking, mention of a weapon, mention of death Corrupt a wish reminder: If you think this story has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention. Proceed with caution!
Tommy never looked up from the cigarette he was attempting to light, even as Ada was announced at the threshold of his office. "Did you do what was on the list?" he mumbled anxiously as he cupped his hand around the flame.
With great annoyance at his lack of hospitality, she rattled off a more appropriate overture. "Hello Tom! Hello, Ada! How are you?"
Tommy only continued sifting through the papers on his desk, the brisk movement of his fingertips a warning against his agitated state. "Fuck's sake," he muttered before losing all patience. "I've things to do. Now tell me, are you going to help me or not?"
"The fucking list," Ada scoffed, failing to conceal the resentment in her voice. "You have the nerve to ask what I've done for you?" She shook her head, voice dropping darkly as she added, "After what you've done."
Exhaling a deep sigh, along with a cloud of smoke, Tommy acknowledged his sister for the first time. Looking straight into her eyes he began, "Ada, look, I know you're upset over what's happened. Bad business it was...."
Charging forward to confront her brother, Ada's chest heaved as she slammed her palms against his desk with fury. "Ben Younger's death was fucking business?"
Tommy shook his head, "Of course not, I didn't mean to imply..."
"That you were involved," she spat, finishing his sentence with finality. Silence hung in the air between them as they considered one another and all the things left unsaid the day the colonel died. By all accounts, Ada had been inconsolable afterward, taking to bed for the better part of a week as she processed the news.
"You're angry and I understand," Tommy ventured, crossing the room to pour them a drink.
Ada's eyes followed him as she warned, "Some whisky and conversation won't change anything." Even with the distance between them she could tell he was clenching his jaw in an attempt to be civil. However, she had no intention of playing along.
The clink of the crystal decanter against the rim of the glass was the only reply to her statement, Tommy badly in need of a drink to face whatever she was going to say next. Taking a long swig, he crossed the room to his sister and offered her the other glass as a gesture of goodwill. However, she failed to reach for it, arms crossed tightly against her chest.
"C'mon, take it. We can talk, alright?" he persisted with a raise of his eyebrows. Gritting his teeth when she made no move to accept his peace offering, he slid her glass onto a nearby table. It wobbled precariously on the wooden top as he finished off his drink with one, large gulp. "What's this about, eh?" he gestured absently between them.
"I can't drink with you, Tom...because I'm pregnant," Ada stated with an aching sadness laced in her voice. She reminded herself to stay strong and concentrate on her purpose in coming here, but the ability for rational thought was rapidly fading in the wake of her grief.
Smacking his lips, Tommy took a seat by the fireplace and stared into the flames for a moment before asking the question he already knew the answer to. "Younger's child?"
"Yes," she answered simply.
"Fuck," he whispered to himself, realizing that now both of Ada's children would be fatherless. Placing his head into his hands, he suddenly felt the weight of his decision settling upon his shoulders like a yoke.
"So now you know I didn't come to discuss the list because I won't be part of this any longer," she revealed in slow, even breaths. "The cuttings, the beatings and fucking black star days were bad enough..."
Tommy wheeled around with anger flashing behind his eyes. Cutting her off mid sentence he spat, "Never heard you complain when you were draping yourself in furs and wearing expensive lipstick."
"Because everything's changed! The moment you began this alliance with Mosley everything's turned to rot! Can't you see? God, everything you touch..." Her shouting devolved into a horrific scream that rang in Tommy's ears like a blaring siren of pain.
Red faced he bellowed in return, "Giving up is no way to win a war, Ada! When others retreat, you advance!"
Ada's face fell as she realized he would never accept responsibility. All she could think of was the black and white photograph delivered to her home earlier that morning. She couldn't erase the image from her mind of her brother stood at the window of his office as the twisted metal of Ben's car burned three floors below. She'd never been more certain that her older brother had known the implicit danger to Ben Younger, choosing to trade the man's life for a few contracts.
"What is it you want from me?" Tommy demanded, off balance without his sister's support. Reaching into his holster, he withdrew the small revolver at his side and brandished it before her eyes in a dramatic flourish. "This?" he asked, placing it into her open palm with a wounded look.
"Tommy..." Ada uttered through a shuddering breath. She felt her heart racing as she held the cold steel in her hand, fingers tracing the outline as though she hadn't already made up her mind.
"I used to believe people deserved justice..." she mused as she began to raise the gun toward her brother's heart. "Now I don't," she added, her statement punctuated by the sharp click of the safety being removed.
"You gonna use it?" he nodded toward the gun, the hardened lines of his face deepening as he scowled at her. "With me dead, you can go back to being who you were. Is that it?" he asked incredulously.
"You know as well as I do that can't happen now," Ada asserted. "As long as you're alive, this madness will never end,” she uttered, steely determination set in her blue eyes.
"If you think you no longer need me than go on," Tommy pressed, laying a bet in his head that she couldn't possibly do what she was suggesting.
“Although I'm reluctant, I'm actually quite good at this,” she reminded him confidently. The words felt sharp on her tongue, yet the sentiment behind them carried an unspoken promise that she would be a worthy steward in his absence.
A cold chill ran down Tommy's spine, watching her index finger wrap snuggly around the trigger. "Then get on with it," he conceded stoically.
However, as they locked eyes, Tommy's gaze toward his sister softened. “I am sorry, Ada," he announced belatedly.
Willing her hands not to shake as her vision turned blurry with unshed tears, she gave a small nod of what he could only assume was her forgiveness.
“In the bleak midwinter…” he recited before two deafening shots rang out.

Roundup-catch up: September 2024 (〜Take me back to the Reiwa era arc〜)
After a rather all consuming and intense reading experience that took me 60 years back in time (I will get to that one another time) I wanted to get back to the present time, specifically 2020 to today, and explore what's new and buzzing in the manga landscape. Luckily had a couple titles sitting unread ready to give me the most productive reading week I've had so far this year.
Akari by Marco Kohinata is a work I don't want to go too in detail about because I think it's one that I think is better by just diving straight in so I want to describe a bit what it does artistically. Even before it became the norm to produce manga manuscripts fully digitally with programs like Clip Studio there's always been manga artists who challenge the "correct" way of how manga manuscripts should look with clean inked lines and nothing but screentone or crosshatching to add dimension. Like Taiyo Matsumoto, Hiroaki Samura, and Q Hayashida just to mention a few. But with the digital way of doing it becoming the norm and thus there being less time consuming and high risk ways to experiment with the expected form of a manga manuscript the diversity of artistic expression in manga is expanding. All the manga in this post have an expression to them only really possible to do in a digital medium or if analogue, made possible by the innovations of digital artists. Akari has a sort of charcoal texture to it that I haven't seen any other manga artist use giving it a really illustrative look that really elevates the emotional themes of familial estrangement and being at risk of falling to the margins of society that the work depicts. Its made me really look forward to seeing what the "average" manga manuscript might look like by 2030.
Last year I gushed a bit about the cutesy gag manga Yoko to Tora by Fuyuko Kurosaki which really charmed me with its truly adorable art, little world building touches and anything goes absurdist comedy. This mini project finally got me to pick up Heike Monogatari Yoru-kun no Hanashi. This anachronistic time slipped retelling of the tale of the arrogant Taira samurai clan and its conflict with the Minamoto clan backed by imperial interests. Recently orphaned Yoru-kun has spent most of his life with the spoiled but lonely rich girl Sara. But one day, he is suddenly kidnapped from our time to the Heian era by Taira no Kiyomori! (portrayed as a flashy rock star super villain obsessed with his wife) to play the role of his daughter in a grand scheme to marry the Taira clan into the imperial family. Yoru now finds himself living at the whims of his war mongering and arrogant new father, but at the same time finds himself sympathetic and invested in his new family. Because they aren't all that bad. Right? But what about Sara? She's not going to let Yoru be all alone in this strange story, right? The Heike story is retold with a maximalist, deeply anachronistic and absurd fashion by, I will already declare, one of my favorite contemporary manga artists.
There's clearly a "gender bending" aspect to have these characters take the roles of historical figures of the "opposite" gender but the role assignment is as far as that went. The only new item of clothing that gendered Yoru was a kimono overcoat worn over his school uniform while Sara was only gendered by a piece of armour worn on top of hers. And of course Yoru can have a baby, you can just go pick those up anywhere. Like, at the cabbage patch. Intentionally or not it becomes a farcical commentary on how gender is assigned upon you by others.
A lot of current manga are in some way colored by the pandemic and 2020 COVID lockdown era. After Shinzo Keigo was hospitalized from COVID complications he produced Hirayasumi. But his wife Natsuko Taniguchi was obviously affected by this time in world history and her personal life as well and produced her own manga in response to it. Fukiyose Residence introduces us to the flashy gal cashier at a non-franchise conbini. She talks loud, sits on a camping chair behind the register but her high spirits brings as much joy as annoyance to her customers. But her public self and private self couldn't be more different, which her neighbours in her apartment building learn one by one. A short but very sweet story about actually finding connection with those closest to you and the ways we transform ourselves through and for others.
Sometimes I don't do my due dilligence and check if I can get a title I'm eyeing in Japanese in english, but to be fair that overlap is just so rare that I lost the habit. But here I made a mistake, because last week Astro Biologist Pratess by Sarami got a translated omnibus release by Alien Press. That particular edition is not what I will review T^T but it's def one to check out. A classic coming of age during summer vacation with past lives from outer space a la Please Save My Earth and astral connections to an alien astro biologist brings 3 friends closer as they try to figure out exactly what they want from life. This is one I wish was just 1 or 2 volumes longer so all 3 characters got to be fully fleshed out but I enjoyed what we got and it made me feel even more excited about what manga is waiting for us in the near future. The work was also licensed in Spanish so if that's your preferred way to read do check it out!

Got hooked up with the local Food Not Bombs chapter (it was defunct for a while bc of zionism drama but someone i'd met before started running it again and it's so good now). It's lucky for my dsa chapter that they got me first bc fuck, food not bombs is my mutual aid J A M. They were missing someone to run the free shop and hold onto the inventory from week to week. Like uhh fuck yeah i can show up and carry a box around for a week. The vibe is so good.
Life with bfr has been really nice too. We get into a good stride when we're both busy. I love that they're down to do anything, whether it's fun or not. I never "need" alone time from them and when I just want to be alone (which is rare now) they don't question it or give me a hard time. I love how much they love my cat. I love how they save space for me to vent about my family or friends but they go out of their way not to chime in or badmouth them, even when I know they're frustrated. I love how much they love to paint their nails now, and how they won't go to a meetup or hangout without some lip stain now that they know how cute it looks. Life is so much better with a partner like them.
And local dsa growth has been really cool. We're having a lot of participation and even some of my irl friends are showing up to events when they've always passed on dsa stuff or activism in the past. My cleanups have been SO well-received and we even have city-side friends helping us with resources outside of the normal avenues (endless bureaucracy). A new member who uses our awful bus system is helping us with a bus stop improvement initiative on one of the busier lines, and we're doing cleanups on the same line now. It's all so amazing to see things come together and gain momentum where bfr and I don't have to push (or just do) every single step.
December is gonna be hella busy pet sitting, and I'm looking forward to that. I've had two weeks without much work so it's also just gonna give me financial peace of mind again.

So, it's Thanksgiving, and I'm spending it alone in a country where it isn't even a holiday. I'm in a mood because of a lot of things this month (not just the Terrible Awful Crappy 5th).
Buuuuuut I wanted to spread a lil cheer, and be thankful for this hellsite and all the ColdFlash creatures I've met while scrolling through here--@theroguesharlequin @hardwiredweird @notquiteinsane @hautecoldture @softboydepot @simpledontmeanpeachy to name a few (while I'm still vaguely sober). So here's a snippet of a scene I've been tinkering with for That Rare Arctic Thunderstorm, which is hilariously set on Thanksgiving 2015. Not the final version, of course, and yes, there are... redactions marked by brackets ([])... but hey, HAPPY TURKEY DAY, 'Murricah! And to the rest of you, early happy weekend!
“Right on time, Doc,” [Len] drawled, opening the front door for Henry Allen. “Len, good to see you, son,” Barry’s dad said, a genuinely pleased smile on his face as he handed over one of his two large, heavily stuffed tote bags. He was all bundled up in cozy fall colors. “Happy Thanksgiving! Mike and Avigail send their regards—along with fresh sweet potato latkes, jelly doughnuts, and something called… borekas?” “Huh, here I thought a pit-stop at the Birnbaums’ would take you longer.” Len turned to hit the elevator button, trying to ignore the funny way the endearment made him feel. “I wouldn’t be late for my first Thanksgiving as a free man,” Henry remarked as they stepped into the elevator car. “I’ve been looking forward to this all week.” “You and Scarlet both, Doc.” Len would have shrugged and smirked, but in the face of Henry’s warm smile, he couldn’t manage enough nonchalance. “I think we’ve known each other long enough for you to start calling me Henry.” Barry’s dad clapped his shoulder with his free hand. “I’m actually glad it was you who came down to get me. I wanted a moment alone with you, to thank you.” “For what?” The elevator doors slid open on the top floor, but Len’s feet refused to move. Henry seemed to notice his discomfort and let go of his shoulder. “Barry’s always been a kind boy, sometimes too kind. I know today—the original plan and the new one—was all his idea. You didn’t have to go along with it [...] but you did. So, thank you.” For one extended moment, Len couldn’t speak. [...] Len had agreed and been thanked by Barry repeatedly in several different ways already, but he hadn’t expected understanding or gratitude from anyone else. He got his mouth—and his feet—to work again right as the elevator doors started to close. He stopped them with his palm, gesturing for the older man to step out ahead of him. “Henry… Did Scarlet ever tell you my four rules?” Barry’s dad smiled and quirked his brow curiously. “No, he didn’t.” “Make the plan, execute the plan.” Len stepped out after him. “Expect the plan to go off the rails,” he opened the door to the apartment proper, “throw away the plan.” Henry laughed with delight as they stepped inside, again clapping a hand on his shoulder. “With rules like that, you two will be just fine.”

Buster Keaton (Sherlock Jr., One Week)—Grandfather of slapstick and did a lot of great stunts for comedy including the first having a set piece down with him standing in the doorway still referenced today, riding a cow catcher on a locomotive, and falling from a third story building through two awnings grabbing a rain gutter falling forward and then going through a window.
Bert Lahr (The Wizard of Oz)—I don't know much about his other work but the cowardly lion, i would argue, is peak weird little guy exemplary. i've always felt wizard of oz is the story of three vaudeville gays taking dorothy to the emerald city and i think that's mostly bert lahr's fault (affectionate)
This is round 2 of the contest. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. If you're confused on what a scrungle is, or any of the rules of the contest, click here.
[additional submitted propaganda + scrungly videos under the cut]
Buster:
Many scrungly little guys look as if they're falling down a staircase. Buster Keaton actually IS falling down a staircase, every day of his life. Also, truly committing to the "little" part at around 5 foot 5. This competition will be the revenge of the short kings or I will die trying.
Link to the Coney Island fancam
First, he kind of looks like a Dollar Store Charlie Chaplin. Just absolutely busted Chaplin. Second, he's lanky and awkward and he's like if Doug Jones had been plopped into the silent movie era. He looks like a cartoon come to life. He looks like if you gave a chihuahua a human body and slightly less anxiety. And because it's silent films for the most part, it really does look like a cartoon character irl.

Keep breathing, be gentle with yourself. Your grief is sacred, an honoring of your love. Take the time and space that you need. Thank you for sharing your light, don’t worry about tumblr -we’ll be here when you’re ready to come back.
Thank you anon. My grandmother was one thing but I was not prepared for my close friend to pass away last week either. So it's just been a lot.
I thought that I'd have a handle on death since my dad and my dog both passed within the last year, but all of these instances have just made me realize how differently love can exist and change our lives.
And above all else, how truly unserious life is.
I've been trying to come to terms with my dog and my dad even now, so my grandmother and my friend passing on top of this has been almost unbearable. But, I have so much to look forward to in the future. I think it would make all of them very happy for me to stay focused on applying to gradschool and making something of my life. I'm just sad none of them will be here to celebrate with me 🙁 because they were all rooting for me.
That being said, one thing I learned after Abby passed- my friend and the wife of my best friend- was how little I've done with my life. I really need to step on the gas and start living more.
So, if I do get accepted into the program I'm applying for, I am going to do so much with my life when I move. I've already made a list of changes I am going to put on myself to make more out of the time I'm given 😁
Things are bleak now, but the future is so bright. I just have to stay optimistic about it.
Thank you for your kind message anon. I'll be here on and off, but I've deleted all my other social media to help clear my mind. I'll be back regularly one I get my life back on track 🙂
